Pisac is home to more than just ruins. On Sundays, local indigenous people gather for a weekly market to eat, socialize, and sell handmade goods.

Our guide David leads us up and down terraced hillsides and narrow crevasses at the Pisac ruins in the Sacred Valley.

Hiking in the Sacred Valley of Peru
Hired a private guide from Eco Trek Peru to lead us through the ruins of Tipon and Pisac on a full day tour. Totally worth it and highly recommended. Our guide David was part Eagle Scout, part walking encyclopedia on all things Peruvian. Not to mention patient as I huffed and puffed while climbing up and down the ruins as I tried to adjust to the altitude (around 11,000 ft).
